Zak Brown zooms back in time at Laguna Seca

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown took advantage of F1's summer break to indulge in a weekend of historic racing at the Monterey Pre-Reunion event at Laguna Seca.

While the responsibilities of leading one of the most prestigious racing teams in the world are undoubtedly demanding, Brown's unwavering love for the sport often leads him to don his racing helmet and slide behind the wheel.

Last weekend, Zak rolled out at Laguna Seca three prestigious cars from his vast vintage collection: a 1970 McLaren M8D Can-Am, a 1974 Lola T332 F5000 and a 1980 Williams FW07/B, the very car with which Alan Jones won the British Grand Prix that year.

The McLaren boss is seen here negotiating Laguna's famous 'Corkscrew' corner at the wheel of his ex-Mario Andretti race-winning Lola, reminding us that, regardless of the era, the spirit of competition and the thrill of speed remain timeless.
