2014 ended in disappointment for Kevin Magnussen as he lost his McLaren seat after much deliberation, with the team opting to keep Jenson Button alongside Fernando Alonso. Magnussen remains a key part of the team and Alonso's crash last week has opened the door for him to drive the MP4-30 in testing and perhaps even race it in Australia.
