Max Verstappen will have to make further room in his trophy cabinet after the 18-year-old was recently presented with the Trofeo Lorenzo Bandini. Launched in 1992 by Bandini’s home town of Brisighella in Italy, the annual prize rewards an admirable motor racing achievement in memory of the former grand prix winner. Following his stunning F1 rookie season with Toro Rosso, fast-track promotion to Red Bull, and record win in Spain, the award committee would have been hard-pressed to find a better suited recipient.
