F1 legend Ayrton Senna claimed the first of his five Belgian Grand Prix wins at Spa-Francorchamps on this date 31 years ago. Lining up second on the grid behind future archival Alain Prost, the Lotus ace stormed into the lead on the opening lap and went on to secure the second victory of his nascent career in a wet-to-dry-to-wet event, the sort of mixed conditions where Senna always excelled.
