After winning the 2008 Formula BMW Europe, Esteban Gutierrez was rewarded with a Formula One test with BMW-Sauber that took place at Circuito de Jerez on December 1-3, 2009.
Esteban slotted behind the wheel on the second day, taking over from 2008 Formula BMW Americas and World Final winner Alexander Rossi.
