When Nico Rosberg joined Mercedes back in 2010, the then 24-year-old had been coming off four solid seasons at Williams where he showed promising potential. But it remained to be seen whether or not the son of 1982 world champion Keke Rosberg was a top-notch driver capable of winning races and challenging for world titles.
