Oscar Piastri, McLaren (Retired, Lap 1) 3/10

A very uncharacteristic nightmare double-whammy for F1’s championship leader: qualifying crash, false start, then Lap 1 lock-up into Turn 5. A silly mistake that shattered Oscar’s scoring streak and shrunk his title lead over Norris to 25 points, while delaying McLaren’s Constructors’ crown. But FIA rules have spared him a Singapore grid drop.  "Not my finest," Piastri quipped at the end of the day, an understatement to say the least.

 

Franco Colapinto, Alpine (P19) 2/10

Underwent a chassis change after crashing in qualifying and then spun mid-race by a clumsy Alex Albon. Points remain as mythical as Alpine's front-row dreams.
