The relationship between Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo is on the mend after last Sunday's mishap in Hungary, but the two drivers are likely to speak about the incident again before Spa.
Verstappen owned up to his mistake on the first lap of the Hungarian GP which took out his team mate. He apologized to Ricciardo but feels another conversation with the Honey Badger could be useful.
"I've talked to him, but we will probably talk again before the next race at some point," said Verstappen.
"We have always had a very good relationship."
Ricciardo started his race in Budapest behind Verstappen but gained the upper hand when the teenager made a poor exit from Turn 1.
The Red Bull racer's mistake at Turn 2, when he understeered into the side of his team mate, was all about getting back the position he had lost shortly before.
"You know, the first lap needs to happen, and you need to try and get in the best possible position," he said.
"That's when you go for it, because that will be your position. You do everything you can, of course, to move forward.
"I locked up and from then onwards you are just a passenger in your own car. Look, we were both looking to move towards the front.
"I locked up because I had another car in front of me and then I hit Daniel. That is of course not want you want, but you don't do it on purpose."
