TAG Heuer and Porsche have entered into a long-term agreement that will see the two iconic motorsport brands partner in the 2019/20 Formula E Championship.

Porsche will field a works outfit in the sixth season of the all-electric series, entrusting its two cars to 2016 FIA World Endurance Champion Neel Jani and former DS Techeetah driver and triple Le Mans winner Andre Lotterer.

The relationship between Porsche and the Swiss luxury watchmaker goes all the way back to 1966, when Heuer teamed up with legendary driver Jo Siffert who spearheaded many of the German manufacturer's wins in sportscar racing in the late 60s and early 70s.

Later on, in the 1990s, TAG Heuer and Porsche united their valued and passion for motorsport through the Porsche Supercup.

Fritz Enzinger (Vice President Porsche Motorsport and Group Motorsport Volkswagen AG):

"We are delighted to welcome TAG Heuer again at Porsche Motorsport. Looking back on our successful history, both brands will build on former achievements for this new era in Formula E.

"It is exciting times that we join our forces again and that together our huge passion for motorsport continues to be alive.

"We are counting the days for our first race as TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team in November this year."
