Racing Point F1 has presented its 2020 pink charger - the RP20 - that it hopes will allow it to fight for a top spot among the sport's midfield contenders this season.
The Silverstone-based outfit unveiled its new car along the scenic shores of Lake Mondsee in Austria at the headquarters of new title sponsor BWT.
In its capacity as principal partner for Racing Point - replacing SportPesa which has disappeared from the team's pool of sponsors, the global supplier of water treatment systems has increased its exposure in F1 this year, and the brand features more prominently on this year's Mercedes-powered RP20 but also on the solid pink overalls of drivers Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll.
"Over the past three years we have brought our distinctive pink colour into Formula 1 and built a very strong relationship with Racing Point," said Andreas Weißenbacher, CEO of BWT.
"We are committed to helping this team achieve its objectives and this is why we have chosen to increase our support by becoming title partner.
"Working together in this way we believe the team can be much more competitive on the track in 2020. We will also support the team’s push to become more sustainable.
"Together we will cut down the use of disposable bottles at the track, minimise plastic waste and facilitate the local treatment and consumption of water."
