Carlos Sainz has jumped on the Virtual Grand Prix bandwagon, the McLaren driver joining six of his current F1 rivals in Sunday's Chinese round of F1 online series.
Sainz will logically race under McLaren's colors, with teammate Lando Norris in the third race of Formula 1's Virtual Grand Prix series.
The pair will be fighting against Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Red Bull's Alex Albon, Alfa Romeo's Antonio Giovinazzi, Williams chargers George Russell and Nicholas Latifi and many other real life and sim racers, including Callum Ilott - also for Ferrari, F2 driver Juan Manuel Correa and Real Madrid goalie Thibaut Courtois.
Virtual Bahrain GP winner and Renault junior Guanyu Zhuo will also be taking part in Sunday's online battle, and will be joined in the French squad by golfer Ian Poulter.
Sunday's virtual action will kick off at 6pm UK time (1pm EST - 7pm CET) and will be streamed live on the official Formula 1 YouTube, Twitch, Weibo and Facebook channels.
However, Norris, Leclerc, Giovinazzi, Albon, Russell and Latifi will all feature in this evening's third and final round of the group's 'Race for the World' series which aims to raise $100,000 for the World Health Organisation's COVID-19 Solidarity Relief Fund.
This event will kick off on the drivers' Twitch channels at 6pm UK time (1pm EST - 7pm CET)
