In spite of the BBC ending its F1 television contract for next year , pundit and commentator David Coulthard may be staying with the great old 'Beeb' after all.
The channel's popular Top Gear program, which is being refurbished with new host Chris Evans at the helm, may recruit the former F1 driver, as well as German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, to complete the series presenting line-up.
It was thought that Coulthard, eventually joined by fellow pundit Eddie Jordan, would move over to Channel 4 which has taken over the BBC's F1 rights for next season, but Top Gear producers may just have made the Scot an offer he cannot refuse.
The BBC has been tight-lipped about the iconic program's format although it did reveal that the first episode would air on Sunday May 8th 2016. Wait and see...
