Fernando Alonso is reportedly set to make his unofficial F1 return with Renault next week at Barcelona where the Spaniard is expected to sample the team's RS20.
Teams are normally restricted from testing their current-spec cars during the F1 season, but each outfit is nevertheless awarded two filming days during which a car can complete 100km of running on special tyres.
According to Spanish F1 reporter Albert Fabrega, the Renault F1 team could use its remaining filming day to help Alonso kickstart his preparations for 2021.
But the Enstone squad could also roll out its 2018 car to allow Alonso to stretch his legs.

Last month, Renault F1 boss Cyril Abiteboul revealed that he had also requested for permission to include Alonso in F1's post-season young drivers' test at Abu Dhabi. But the outcome of that request is still pending with the FIA.
"We are building the programme and there are a couple of opportunities within the restrictions of the sporting regulations," said Abiteboul at the time.
"So you'll see him in action. But I can't say here, where and when exactly yet."
