Williams Academy driver and three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick is heading to America where the Briton will race with Andretti Autosport in the 2023 Indy NXT by Firestone Series.
Chadwick will take part in the 14-race championship sanctioned by IndyCar as the first female to compete full-time in the series, which was previously called Indy Lights.
Chadwick tested with Andretti Autosport last September as the 24-year-old Williams development driver desperately sought an opportunity to take her motorsport career to the next level following her consecutive titles in the all-female W Series.

"I’m really happy to be stepping up into INDY NXT next year," said Chadwick. "It’s a great opportunity for me to be able to get a lot of seat time and continue my development.
"Racing for a team like Andretti is going to be an amazing experience and I’m really looking forward to racing in the United States.
"A massive thank you to Williams for the support they’ve given me on my journey since joining the Academy in 2019."

The Indy NXT Series will kick off on the streets of St Petersburg on March 5 2023.
