The Alfa Romeo F1 team's cars will run with a striking one-off livery in this weekend's Italian Grand Prix that pays tribute to the manufacture's new Alfa 33 Stradale supercar.
Alfa Romeo has revived the classic '33 Stradale' name and will remain true to the latter as it will only build 33 examples of the two-door 'fuoriserie', the Italian marque's first electric vehicle.
Developed with Alfa Romeo’s Centro Stile, the C43 special livery – which was unveiled by drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu during a special event at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese –
features the classic gold accents of the 33 Stradale and the Italian flag’s tricolore on a field of black.
The Swiss outfit will end its commercial partnership with Alfa Romeo at the end of the 2023 season. This weekend's round of racing at Monza will therefore mark the pair's last home race together.
"As we approach our home race in Monza, it’s a pleasure to unveil this incredible livery, a true tribute not only to the 33 Stradale, but to Alfa Romeo as a whole and to the country it hails from, Italy," commented Alfa team representative Alessando Alunni Bravi.
"This livery is probably one of the most beautiful we’ve ever had on a car, and to be able to showcase it in front of our home crowd – including hundreds of our team members from Hinwil on the grandstands – is an honour for all of us.

"Personally, I am excited by the references to the 33 Stradale: the original model from 1967 was an iconic car that influenced style and design for a generation and beyond, and its latest incarnation embodies all this heritage while also setting the path to the future of Alfa Romeo."
While Alfa will end its collaboration with Sauber after F1's finale in Abu Dhani on November, the Quadrifoglio brand has expressed an interest in remaining in F1.
Talks have reportedly taken place with Haas which currently has a multi-year title sponsorship deal in place with money transfer company Moneygram.
Asked earlier this summer if the US outfit could add a second naming rights deal with Alfa Romeo should the latter be interested in partnering with the team, team boss Guenther Steiner said that such a scenario had yet to be discussed.
"I don't know because we never spoke about this, so I don't know," said the Italian. "I don't have an answer for that because we haven't discussed with Gene about this.
"There is nothing on the table, therefore I don't even think about it. I have a lot of other things to do."
