Red Bull has announced that motorsport enthusiasts will be treated to a spectacular unveiling at this summer’s Goodwood Festival of Speed: the rollout of the highly anticipated RB17 hypercar, designed by the legendary Adrian Newey.

The news follows Red Bull's Advanced Technologies division unveiling plans in June 2022 for a £5 million hypercar bearing Newey's signature engineering touch.

The RB17 boasts a sleek, two-seater design built around a carbon fiber monocoque chassis. Powering the track-only beast will be a formidable V10 engine paired with a carbon fiber gearbox – a testament to Red Bull's commitment to uncompromised performance.

This isn't just any hypercar – it's a true collector's item with a strictly limited production run of only 50 units.

Furthermore, the RB17 holds a special significance within Red Bull's racing legacy. Not only does it pick up the "RB17" mantle that was skipped in Formula 1 due to pandemic-related car carryover, but it also marks Adrian Newey's final project for Red Bull before his planned departure from the F1 team in early 2025.

“We are excited to debut the RB17 to the public for the first time and couldn’t think of a better world stage than Goodwood Festival of Speed,” commented Red Bull racing boss Christian Horner.

“The RB17 exudes rarity and engineering excellence. We’ve channelled everything we know about racing into making the ultimate performance car and can’t wait for the public to see the result.

“I’m also just as thrilled to be bringing such a remarkable selection of cars and drivers to the iconic festival and look forward to celebrating our 20th season in front of such passionate motorsport fans.”

Red Bull and Newey’s engineering marvel will be unveiled on Friday July 12 in the Cathedral paddock at Goodwood.

The famous festival’s founder, the Duke of Richmond, is delighted to have the RB17 join the event’s line-up as part of Red Bull’s 20 years of Formula 1 celebrations.

“In such a poignant year for the Formula 1 team, I am honoured they have chosen the Festival of Speed as the venue to unveil the much-anticipated RB17 for its global public debut, and I know our fans will be hugely excited for the team to bring a multitude of their championship-winning cars and drivers to the event this year,” said the Duke of Richmond.

Red Bull will also be showcasing throughout the festival a selection of their iconic F1 cars, with several historic machines roaring back to life and participating in the thrilling hillclimb event.
