Manor has been confirmed as an entry for the 2015 F1 season following the publication of the FIA entry list.
Racing as Marussia last season, the team went in to administration after the Russian Grand Prix and missed the final three races of the season after it ceased trading. However, a rescue package has been put in place and the approval of a CVA earlier in February has paved the way for the team to exit administration.
As a result, plans have been ongoing to get the team ready for the new season, with Will Stevens confirmed as one of its race drivers this week. Manor has been working to adapt a 2014 car to conform to this season’s regulations after the Strategy Group denied it the opportunity to run its old car.
On Friday the FIA published its official entry list for the new season, with Manor listed as Manor Marussia F1 and subject to compliance with the 2015 technical regulations. Stevens himself is also provisionally listed as subject to a super licence.
Ferrari confirmed last week it would supply Manor with 2014 power units, while there is also ongoing support from McLaren.
It has been confirmed that the backer behind the Manor rescue deal is Stephen Fitzpatrick, founder of energy firm OVO Energy.
