The prancing horse has roared – just a little – on Friday at Fiorano as Ferrari coaxed its new SF-26 out for a tantalizing systems check, giving fans their first glimpse of the 2026 contender in motion.

The car may have only logged a modest 15 km – or five laps around the Scuderia’s home turf – but every second dripped with promise.

Lewis Hamilton took the wheel for the installation lap, soaking in the cheers of tifosi as the SF-26 glided on full-wet tyres.

At one point, he came to a halt, but it wasn’t drama – it was simply the strict demonstration-event mileage cap in action. No glitches, no surprises, just Ferrari flirting with its limits.

Earlier in the morning, a brief video introduced the SF-26, but the real thrill came from seeing it live, alive, and ready to bite.

Pre-season testing now awaits in Barcelona from 26-30 January, where the SF-26 will shed its demonstration shackles and begin the serious work of chasing glory.

If Friday was a whisper, the Spanish test will be a roar. Ferrari’s 2026 campaign has officially started.
