Lando Norris is expanding his influence beyond the Formula 1 paddock, launching LN4 Fusion, an ambitious new junior single-seater operation designed to develop young talent while building a team capable of competing at the sharp end of the sport.
The reigning world champion unveiled the project in Italy ahead of this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, bringing together a racing team and a separate driver development programme under the LN4 banner.
LN4 Fusion will target several key stages of the junior ladder, with entries planned in Italian Formula 4, Formula Regional European Championship and Formula 3.
The organisation is already testing in British F4 and is working towards securing a championship entry, while selected assets of AIX Racing have also been acquired, securing an F3 presence through 2027.
An application has additionally been submitted for an F2 entry, potentially giving Norris’ project a pathway stretching almost all the way to Formula 1.
Building a new route to the top
The team’s striking fluorescent-yellow cars will carry the unmistakable LN4 identity, while its sporting operation boasts considerable experience. Rene Rosin, a multiple championship-winning team principal, will lead the main operation, with Dan Hazlewood heading LN4 Fusion’s UK activities.
But the project extends beyond running racing cars. Norris is personally funding the LN4 Legacy Programme, an independent initiative operated by ADD Management that aims to identify exceptional young drivers and provide them with coaching, mentoring, performance assistance and career guidance.

Norris says the concept has been shaped by his own journey through the junior ranks and the understanding that raw speed alone is rarely enough to reach Formula 1.
"I’ve been really lucky to have some amazing people around me throughout my career, and I know that getting to Formula 1 takes so much more than just talent," said Norris.
"You need the right people around you, the right support and the right opportunities at the right time. That’s what these two projects are all about. LN4 Fusion is about building a race team that can compete with the best in junior motorsport, with great people and a great environment for drivers to develop.
"The LN4 Legacy Programme is about helping talented young drivers get opportunities they might not otherwise have.
“For me, they naturally fit together. I want to help create opportunities for the next generation, both on and off the track, and hopefully make a real difference to young drivers coming through the sport."
F1 success fuels bigger ambitions
The venture has been developed by an investment group led by Dan Richards, who will oversee its commercial and corporate strategy as the organisation looks to establish itself as a serious force in junior racing.
Richards believes LN4 Fusion has assembled an unusually powerful combination of talent, experience and financial backing.
"We have assembled a rare combination and secured the right sporting leadership in the industry: an established operation, a Formula 1 World Champion, the most successful team principal in junior single-seater racing over the past two decades, world-class motorsport expertise, significant investment and a shared ambition to build a team capable of competing at the highest levels of the sport,” he explained.

For Norris, who has committed his F1 future to McLaren through 2030, LN4 Fusion represents a chance to influence the sport from a different position.
Rather than simply chasing his own trophies, the 26-year-old is now attempting to build a launchpad for the drivers who could one day follow him into Formula 1.
And with the project already stretching from F4 to F3 – and potentially into F2 – the fluorescent-yellow LN4 cars could soon become a familiar sight on the road to the pinnacle of motorsport.
