Lewis Hamilton has laughed off comments from Felipe Massa that "he needs to concentrate" on his F1 career rather than his lifestyle.
The triple world champion is active on social media and spends time with high-profile friends, posting images of himself with Justin Bieber and football star Neymar over the past week.
"He is preparing for his second life after Formula One and it can be a problem for his career," Massa told Press Association Sport. "It can maybe take some concentration away, and on some days it can make him lose points.
"He needs to think about his lifestyle. He needs to concentrate, and he needs to put in the first place what is more important for him."
Following the end of Friday practice in Canada, Hamilton was keen to address Massa's comments and laughed off the dig after the Brazilian crashed in FP1 due to a DRS problem.
“I feel good in terms of where the car balance is and in terms of myself," Hamilton said. "I think what was really interesting today I saw there was some comment from Felipe Massa about me having to focus on my driving and then he went out in Turn 1! I just think today shows I’m super-focused on my job and I will continue to do so.”
