After last weekend's disappointing Monaco GP, Lewis Hamilton swapped his Mercedes W12 and overalls for a jet ski and a wet suit to tackle the waves of the Mediterranean.
The seven-time world champion spent the day onboard Sir Philip Green's 33-meter Lionchase yacht, anchored just off St Jean Cap Ferrat where he was joined by a group of friends, including physio Angela Cullen and Toto and Susie Wolff.
But Hamilton wasn't the only world champion to splash and dash on the blue waves, with Nico Rosberg also riding a jet ski nearby along with his two daughters.
Although the relationship between Hamilton and his former Mercedes teammate is often described as 'cold', Rosberg nevertheless paid his former nemesis a courtesy visit as he pulled up alongside Sir Philip's vessel to salute its guests with a friendly splash.
But that was the full extent of the pair's social encounter at sea.
