Max Verstappen's Canadian Grand Prix race suit – the suit in which the Red Bull charger scored his 41st career win in F1 – has raised £108,497 for Red Bull's 'Wings for Life' charity.
In Montreal, Verstappen equaled the win tally of Ayrton Senna, which certainly added another level of value to the precious piece of memorabilia which was signed by the Dutchman in the photo here above.
The auction, put together by Red Bull with Memento Exclusives, included not only the ace suit but also an exclusive Meet & Greet with Max well as a guided tour of Red Bull's factory in Milton Keynes.
"It’s amazing to see Max’s race suit auction raise over £100,000 for our Team Charity, Wings for Life, as part of our continued fundraising initiatives," commented Red Bull team boss Christian Horner.
"It’s a special suit from our 100th race win and the winning bidder has a true piece of history.
"I would like to thank Memento Exclusives for working closely with us and Wings for Life to ensure we raised the maximum amount possible, which will go directly to fund spinal cord injury research."
Founded in 2004, Wings for Life funds global research projects and clinical trials with one sole aim: to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
