Running for remembrance: F1's heartfelt tribute at Spa

Spa-Francorchamps is a place of breathtaking beauty, but for Pierre Gasly and the motorsport community, it also carries a quiet, permanent ache.

On Thursday evening, Gasly and Alpine once again brought the paddock together for the fourth annual ‘Run for Anthoine.’

Inviting personnel from Formula 1, F2, F3, and the media, the run has become a powerful ritual of unity. And as the collective steps took over the asphalt, Gasly paused in heavy solitude at the top of Raidillon to lay flowers where his close friend, Anthoine Hubert, was lost.

But the circle of remembrance grew wider. As the sun set over the Ardennes, the gathering also paused to remember Dilano van ’t Hoff, the young Dutch driver who tragically lost his life on the Kemmel Straight in 2023.

"It’s always emotional to return to Spa," Gasly shared. "At this special gathering, we want to cherish the memories of the moments we shared."

Two talents, two memories, one paddock united in keeping their names alive.
