The Malaysian Grand Prix has become a bit of a second home race for Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes title-sponsor Petronas also supporting the event. To celebrate these partnerships as well as his 150th career start, the reigning world champion had planned to don a special livery on his crash helmet at Sepang. Formula One’s governing body the FIA has banned in-season helmet design change ahead of the 2015 campaign, but this did not prevent Hamilton from taking to social media to share the one-off decoration in an astute marketing move.
