Who says little brothers get to have all the fun? Lorenzo Tolotta-Leclerc – the eldest of the Leclerc clan – swapped the role of supportive big brother for that of Ferrari hot-lapper, climbing this week into the mighty 2019 SF90 at Circuit Paul Ricard.
At 36, Lorenzo admitted he “did not expect to start this week driving an F1” and graciously thanked Charles and Arthur for setting up the surprise of a lifetime.
For a family where racing dreams were once trimmed by financial reality, the sight of Lorenzo tearing down the Mistral Straight wasn’t just about horsepower – it was about full-circle joy.

Years ago, sacrifices meant Charles was the one to carry the Leclerc name into Formula 1 while his brothers watched from the sidelines. Now, roles were reversed for a day, with Charles and Arthur proudly cheering Lorenzo on as he lived out a childhood dream.
Call it brotherly love, call it revenge for all those times he drove them to school – either way, Lorenzo looked every bit the natural in red. And if you ask him? The experience was simply “unforgettable.”
