Speed trap readings for Wednesday's running at the Circuit de Catalunya offer some interesting and unexpected results.
Force India's Esteban Ocon was the fastest in a straight line although the French driver's Mercedes-powered VJM11 lingered all day at the bottom of the timesheet.
Sebastian Vettel's second place position seems logical given his overall speed. But the fastest man to ever lap the Circuit de Catalunya - Daniel Ricciardo - is only P11 in terms of top speed, with a 20km/h deficit to Ocon.
The result likely points to a Red Bull RB14 running a lot of drag, a compromise which appears to work well in Barcelona.
