Daniel Ricciardo, Lando Norris and Kimi Raikkonen were summoned to the French Grand Prix stewards' office following their battle on the final lap of Sunday's race.
The trio, along with Nico Hulkenberg, came together for a mad dash scrap as a result of Norris losing ground because of a hydraulic issue on his McLaren.
Ricciardo passed Norris on the entry into the Mistral chicane using the kerbs but was outpaced by Raikkonen on the exit. The Renault caught up with the Finn and passed the Alfa Romeo on the right, putting all four wheels off the track, a move that was likely frowned upon by the stewards.
"To be honest, all jokes aside, every time I'm braking late and deep trying to make a move, I'm struggling to pull the car up," said Ricciardo in his defense.
"It's better than the start of the year but I'm still not quite where I was with Red Bull.
"But the thing is, if I don't try, I'm sitting behind him the whole race so I have to try, but when I do try it's sometimes a bit on the limit. I'm obviously trying to keep it on track and not be dirty."
