Sergio Perez concluded his 2015 campaign with another top 5 finish following a consistent run in the Abu Dhabi GP.
While the Mexican was never really a force to be reckoned with for a podium finish and could not get the measure of his Ferrari rivals, he did succeed in keeping team mate Nico Hulkenberg and Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo at bay, extracting the most from his Force India's performance.
"I'm happy with the result," he said. "At the end of the day, when you feel you have maximized everything of what you had from the car, then you can be happy with it.
"I feel that I did that today, and did it yesterday, so I'm happy with the weekend but also very happy with season that I had."
Paddock pundits mostly agree that 'Checo' has undoubtedly grown as a driver this year, further refining his talent and fulfilling the duties entrusted to him.
"I said many times this year that I was driving at my best of my career, I felt very confident. And I really hope that next year I can keep saying the same, and keep developing as a driver.
"I'm still young and hope that I can move up even further next year in terms of my racing driver level."
As he looked back on 2015 and its best moments, Sergio Perez pinpointed his podium finish in Russia as the high point of his season.
"That was very good, a good moment for me in my career. The way that whole race was and the way I managed it in spite of all the difficult things we had to deal with. He did a strong job, so I'll take Russia as my main race in 2015."
