F1 drivers have been warned that the FIA's Qatar Grand Prix stewards will monitor track limits at five corners at Losail this weekend.

In a note to competitors ahead of this weekend's inaugural round of F1 racing at the Losail International Circuit, FIA race director Michael Masi has singled out Turns 4, 12, 13, 14 and 16 as the corners where a zero-tolerance policy regarding track limits abuses will be in force.

Any lap time achieved during any practice session or the race by leaving the track at the above-mentioned corners will result in that lap time being invalidated by the stewards.

Following the standard protocol, three failed attempts by a driver to negotiate any of the corners within the white lines during the race will trigger a black-and-white flag, with any additional transgression reported to the stewards for an official review.

Furthermore, there will be only one DRS zone available for drivers around Losail's 5.38 km 16-corner track.

The detection point will be located 125 meters before Turn 16 while the activation point is set at 200 metres after the exit of the corner.
