Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen are both one power unit component away from being hit with a grid drop following the addition by their team of new elements to their pool of hardware.

Saturday's power unit bulletin issued by the FIA revealed that Ferrari had added a new gearbox and new exhaust system to Leclerc's inventory.

The exhaust system is the Monegasque's eighth such element which automatically implies a grid penalty if or when the Scuderia charger is assigned a ninth exhaust component this season.

As for Verstappen, the Red Bull driver's team has fitted the Dutchman's car this weekend with a fourth and final penalty-free gearbox.

The FIA also signaled that George Russell has taken on a new MGU-K element, his last of three such components that are permitted over the course of the season.

Finally, Aston Martin's Lance Stroll and Williams' Nicholas Latifi have both received a new gearbox casing and cassette as well as a new gearbox driveline, gear change components and auxiliary components.
