Ferrari has signed Marcus Armstrong and Enzo Fittipaldi to its junior programme - the Ferrari Driver Academy - for 2017.
Hailing from New Zealand, 16-year-old Armstrong is coming up from karting and will graduate to car racing next year. He will take part in the Toyota Racing Series, a popular winter championship held in his home country.
15-year-old Fittipaldi, one the grandsons of two-time world champion Emerson, finished 18th in the Ginetta Junior championship in 2016.
The latest FDA additions were among the five drivers that took part in a three-day evaluation test held at Ferrari’s home track of Fiorano last month.
Armstrong and Fittipaldi will join their fellow academy members, which include GP3 champion Charles Leclerc, Antonio Fuoco, Jean Alesi’s son Giuliano, and Chinese ace Guan Yu Zhou - in January.
