Aston Martin unveils AMR Pro – a Valkyrie on steroids!

Aston Martin has unveiled its Valkyrie AMR Pro, an engineering marvel that is a unique version of the original Valkyrie car developped by Aston Martin, designer Adrian Newey, Red Bull Advanced Technologies, and engineering partner Multimatic.

While the original Valkyrie unveiled in 2018 was built to compete at Le Mans in the WEC's Hypercar category - a plan that was later scrapped unfortunately, the AMR Pro will only hit the track only for the pure pleasure of its lucky owners.

Bound by no regulations, the AMR Pro was developed with no limits, according to Red Bull Advanced Technologies.

The outcome? A leaner, meaner, monster of a machine that sits lower, lighter and wider on the race track, approaching the performance of modern day Formula 1 machinery.

"Significantly modified from the road going version, the AMR Pro is effectively an Aston Martin Valkyrie on steroids," said design guru Adrian Newey.

"Its performance output is at a very high level, much higher than any other previous track-only car and indeed well in excess of a top class LMP car of today.

"It will be tremendously exciting to see the car hit the track and show its true potential."

Powered by a modified version of the Cosworth-built 6.5-litre V12 engine that develops 1,000bhp, the AMR Pro will have "track performance approaching a Formula One car thanks to weight-saving measures, such as the removal of the battery-electric hybrid system and ultra-lightweight carbon fibre bodywork".

"The Valkyrie AMR Pro is a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to pure performance, and this performance DNA will be evident in our future product portfolio," said Tobias Moers, Chief Executive Officer, Aston Martin.

"Nothing else looks like it, nothing else sounds like it, and I am absolutely certain nothing else will drive like it!"

Speaking of driving, both Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll will help develop the track-only AMR Pro in their spare time.
