Kimi experienced it all in Shanghai. He lost pole to Vettel for a scant 0.087s and got overtaken by Bottas at the start. Ferrari held off his stop to allow Vettel to close ground to the Mercedes, which in turn cost the Finn a shot at the podium until the safety car brought him back into the top 3.
