Lando Norris (P2, 21 pts): 9/10
Deservedly driver of the day for his performance in the Grand Prix, Lando Norris also earns top marks for his all-or-nothing approach to Sprint qualifying on Friday which saw him earn pole position (after initially having his lap deleted for exceeding track limits but subsequently reinstated). He was left beating himself up after the Sprint, having been forced wide by Lewis Hamilton going into the first corner which dropped him seven places and cost him any chance of a win. He did well to bounce back from that disappointment to secure P4 on the grid for Sunday, but he knew he wouldn't be able to stay in front of the two Ferrari cars when the lights went out. Except he did, and even led the race when the Red Bull drivers pitted early. He was lucky with the timing of the safety cars that kept him ahead of Perez, but it was pure talent from that point on that delivered his best podium of his career so far.
Max Verstappen (Pole, P1, 33 pts): 9.5/10
It goes without saying that Max Verstappen was pretty much perfect on Sunday. He led the race for all but five laps (after the team called him in to pit lane early, briefly handing the lead to Lando Norris) but otherwise he was absolutely in a different league again this week. He had a 13s lead by the time the safety cars packed everyone back together mid-race, and he then built up the same lead all over again in the second half. Only a slightly difficult start to the weekend on Friday in practice and a wet Sprint qualifying denies him a perfect ten for the full weekend rating.
