The Italian teenager executed a brilliant restart to sweep past Norris for the lead. He led a vast portion of the race with impressive maturity, but Mercedes’ late tyre strategy left him defenseless against Norris’s charge. He lacked the raw racecraft to keep the McLaren behind, but it was another standout performance by Kimi.
Lando Norris, McLaren (P1) – 9.5/10
A masterclass in patience and tyre management from Norris. After losing the lead to Antonelli on the restart, Lando bided his time, stalked the Mercedes, and executed a late-race charge. Once in clean air, he pulled away to record an emphatic victory. Flawless driving combined with sharp McLaren strategy. Just perfect.
