Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac (DNF) – 4/10
The Finn’s afternoon ended early with yet another mechanical breakdown. Before the Cadillac gave up the ghost, Bottas was merely circulating near the back with little prospect of doing anything meaningful. Not much he could do with the hardware supplied, but it’s becoming a familiar story of frustration for the veteran this season.

Alex Albon, Williams (DNF) – 6/10
Albon was doing a commendable job driving around the current limitations of the Williams chassis, easily keeping himself clear of his team-mate. His race came to a premature halt when Sainz clumsily - and inadvertently - nudged him off the tarmac, sending him into retirement. In a nutshell, a decent fundamental execution completely undone by another driver's severe lack of spatial awareness.
