Franco Colapinto, Alpine (P14) – 4/10
Tasked with running the older specification chassis while Gasly enjoyed the shiny new upgrades, Colapinto was always facing an uphill battle. However, pulling an illegal pass on Tsunoda under double yellow flags was a rookie error that cost him dearly with the stewards. A messy drive that highlighted his relative lack of composure.

Gabriel Bortoleto, Audi (P13) – 5.5/10
Bortoleto’s angel landed early when he did a full 360-degree spin at the final corner on lap one, amid the chaos sowed by Verstappen, narrowly avoiding the barriers and missing his team-mate by millimetres. The red flag gave him a second chance, but pre-race technical niggles hampered his pace. He spent the rest of the day struggling to keep up with Hulkenberg, and failed, landing well outside the points.
