Isack Hadjar, Red Bull (P10) – 6.5/10
Plagued by engine glitch after engine glitch all weekend, Hadjar faced a monumental recovery task from the pit lane. He laboured through the opening stint on the medium compound, getting bogged down in traffic, but transformed his night once switched onto soft rubber. A late, aggressive swoop past Gasly salvaged a single point from a messy weekend. A fighter's drive, though he was expecting far more.

George Russell, Mercedes (P9) – 7/10
Starting from the back row following a penalty, Russell was expected to slice through the field with typical Mercedes flair. Instead, his progress on medium tyres was surprisingly laborious. Missed out on taking full advantage of the Virtual Safety Car, leaving him bogged down behind Hulkenberg and Lawson despite late pressure. Considering his car’s ultimate pace, ninth place feels short of par for the Brit.
