Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac (DNF) – 5.5/10
Bottas was quietly plugging away near the back of the pack, extracting as much as the underwhelming Cadillac machinery would allow. He had the upper hand on his teammate before the power unit gave up the ghost on lap 48, bringing out the late VSC. Mechanical fragility robs him of a finish, but his driving was respectable enough.
Sergio Pérez, Cadillac (P19) – 4.5/10
Another grueling outing for Checo, who spent Sunday adrift at the rear of the running field and eventually finished a full lap down. The Cadillac is unquestionably a handful, but trailing behind the rest of the pack with little sign of spark makes for grim reading. A completely anonymous afternoon spent circulating in Texas.
