George Russell, Mercedes (P8) – 4/10
While his teammate dominated, Russell endured a afternoon to forget. An off-track excursion early on was compounded by a five-second penalty for gaining an advantage, severely undercutting his strategy. He lacked Antonelli’s blistering speed and spent the afternoon stuck behind Piastri’s McLaren. A scrappy effort in a winning car.

Oscar Piastri, McLaren (P7) – 5.5/10
Piastri never really got into his groove in Texas. Deficit on pace compared to the top runners, he spent much of his race acting as a roadblock for Russell after McLaren played the team orders card to let Norris past. He played the loyal soldier, but seventh was a flat finish.
