Carlos Sainz, Williams (P18) – 5/10
Sainz saw his afternoon ruined moments after lights-out when he was squeezed tightly towards the pit wall, suffering front-wing damage in the process. A pit visit for repairs dropped him out of contention, and without the raw pace to carve back through the field, he trundled home a lap down. A painful, write-off kind of Sunday.

Alex Albon, Williams (P17) – 5/10
Albon launched off the line smartly to gain early track position, but his hard work was undone when he tangled with Alonso. With a wounded car and Williams lacking speed across COTA’s sweeping layout, he was left to endure a tedious drive to the line. Hard to fault his intent, but the end result was forgettable.
