Lotus secures special Singapore partnership

Cash-strapped Lotus F1 Team should be able to save some valuable money on accommodation at Singapore after securing a one-off deal with luxury hotel brand Four Seasons and HPL Hotels & Resorts.

This weekend’s grand prix will see Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado’s E23s adorn the Four Seasons logo (see picture) as part of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee that celebrates the country’s 50 years of independence.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Four Seasons and HPL Hotels & Resorts for the Singapore Grand Prix,” said Lotus deputy team principal Federico Gastaldi. “As every year, we are looking forward to this fantastic night race with great anticipation.”

“It truly is an event which is appreciated by all, by the teams and drivers as much as by the public and fans attending as well as the audiences throughout the world. It’s a great atmosphere in an amazing city and it’s superb for us as a team to be part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.”

Considering that teams and drivers must stay on European time throughout the Singapore weekend, a good standard of accommodation is probably even more important at Marina Bay than anywhere else on the F1 calendar.
