The Aston Martin brand will return to the pinnacle of motorsport this year alongside American IT company Cognizant.
The rebranded Racing Point outfit has confirmed its multi-year partnership with Cognizant, with the outfit being known as Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team when it lines up on the starting grid for the 2021 season.
"The return of Aston Martin to Formula One after more than 60 years away is a landmark moment in the history of the sport," says Aston Martin chairman Lawrence Stroll.
"Everyone knows what Aston Martin stands for, but the Formula One team will allow us to take the essence of the brand to new places, building on the strong foundations laid by the previous iterations of the team.
"I’m hugely proud that we can start this new chapter with the support of Cognizant.
"In today’s world, as the digital revolution continues, I can’t think of a more suitable or valuable partner to work with us as we strive to make Aston Martin one of the greatest teams in the sport."
Aston Martin team boss Otmar Szafnauer says its association with Cognizant will add value to its operations at a crucial times of their development.

Aston Martin is expected to reveal its 2021 charger in early March and all signs point to the outfit shedding its trademark pink livery associated with former title sponsor BWT and showcasing a car draped in British Racing Green.
