Sebastian Vettel has received his first reprimand of the season after being called to the stewards for an indiscretion at the end of FP2 at the United States Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver did not stay to the left of a bollard at the pit lane entry when returning to the pits at the end of the second practice session at Circuit of the Americas. With drivers advised to do so by race director Charlie Whiting, Vettel was handed a reprimand for the error.
The penalty is Vettel's first reprimand of the season, with a driver receiving a 10-place grid penalty if they receive three reprimands for driving offences within the same season.
Vettel finished FP2 in fourth place behind Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton, with the German saying he expects Ferrari to show improved pace on Saturday following a disjointed FP1.
