Manor's updated car delivered a step forward, but Merhi didn't help himself in qualifying as his fastest time was deleted. A combination of car, power unit and driver left him off the pace of team-mate Will Stevens on the whole, but he kept out of trouble in tricky conditions to pick up another strong result.
