The Bahrain Grand Prix offered its share of thrilling action up and down the ranks. On a set of very worn softs, Vettel fended off a fast-approaching Bottas to make it a double-win in 2018. Hamilton limited the damage while it was a disaster in the desert for Räikkönen and the Red Bulls. Gasly and the STR13-Honda punched well above their weight and Sauber…yes Sauber… finished in the points. F1i hands out the ratings from the 2018 Bahrain GP.
Daniel Ricciardo (retired) : No Score
If you want to erase the Honey Badger’s ear to ear grin just turn off the power. With a slow launch off the line Gasly got past, but then the RB14 suffered a complete black out on lap two. A real shame, because in race trim Ricciardo should’ve been able to give the Ferraris and Mercs a proper run for their money.
