Franco Colapinto, Alpine (P14) – 5/10
An afternoon spent fighting chronic understeer and dreadful track position. Offered up as a strategic sacrificial lamb by Alpine, the rookie was lapped twice and spent a large part of his Grand Prix in a bruising, unproductive dogfight with Alonso. Front wing damage from a clash with Sainz capped off a thoroughly miserable Monaco baptism of fire.

Nico Hulkenberg, Audi (P13) – 5/10
A very messy end to a long afternoon. Caught in a bottleneck on the race's restart trying to avoid Ocon at the hairpin, the German locked his steering but still clattered straight into Sainz. The resulting time penalty dropped him down the order, leaving "The Hulk" understandably furious that a gritty recovery drive was completely undone by a tight-corner squeeze.
