F1i Driver Ratings for the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix

A chaotic weekend in Montreal delivered unpredictable weather, spectacular driver errors, and a history-making race. While Mercedes showed blinding pace, McLaren completely imploded on the pit wall, leaving its drivers stranded on the wrong tyres. From early retirements to thrilling duels up and down the field, here is how we rated each driver's performance at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Arvid Lindblad, Racing Bulls (DNF) – 6/10

Talk about a premature exit. Lindblad’s afternoon ended before it even began, courtesy of a stubborn gearbox that refused to select a gear on the grid. While it triggered an extra formation lap and a swift DNF, full marks to the rookie for quickly alerting the grid and preventing a major safety hazard. A frustrating anti-climax after a highly promising weekend.

Alex Albon, Williams (DNF) – 5.5/10

Albon can’t seem to catch a break lately. After making superb progress from a disappointing Q1 exit to hover on the fringes of the points, his hard work was thoroughly undone. He was completely blameless when Piastri used him as a braking marker, picking up terminal damage. Another weekend of looking at what could have been through no fault of his own.
