Carlos Sainz, Williams (P16) – 5/10
Starting from the back after a PU penalty, Sainz’s race was effectively ruined on lap one with front-wing damage. His recovery drive showcased plenty of grit and decent underlying race pace, but the net result was a completely unrewarding P16.
Alex Albon, Williams (P15) – 5.5/10
Showed occasional flashes of speed early on, but Williams lacked the sustained race pace to hold off the midfield freight train. Albon drove flawlessly with what he had, but was ultimately helpless as faster cars swarmed past on the straights.
