F1i Driver Ratings for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen, Red Bull (P2) – 9/10

Max Verstappen pulled off a masterclass in damage limitation, wrestling an ill-balanced Red Bull onto the second step of the podium. Starting sixth, he showed remarkable tyre management and opportunism, capped by a breathtakingly bold pass on Lewis Hamilton. Extracting a runner-up finish from a fundamentally unhappy package was classic Verstappen, proving once again that he can deliver outstanding results even when his car refuses to cooperate.

Lando Norris, McLaren (P1) – 10/10

Lando Norris put together a dominant, championship-caliber performance to seal victory in Hungary. After a clumsy opening lap left him trailing his teammate, Norris kept his composure, looked after his tyres in dirty air, and pounced when the opportunity arose. Once out front in clear air, he dictated the pace with absolute precision. He extracted every drop of speed from his McLaren, executing a flawless and relentless drive.
